Manatee County's waterways are part of its identity. The Manatee River, coastal waters, wetlands, bays, and neighborhood ponds support wildlife, recreation, tourism, local businesses, and the quality of life families value.

Melton Little's environmental promise is straightforward: protect our waterways and preserve Manatee County for future generations. That promise reflects a conservative responsibility to care for the place we have inherited and pass it forward in better condition.

Water quality affects the whole community

When water quality suffers, the consequences do not stay in one place. Families lose safe opportunities to swim and fish. Wildlife and habitats are put at risk. Tourism and waterfront businesses can feel the

effects. Public resources may then be needed to address problems that responsible planning could have helped prevent.

Protecting local water therefore requires more than slogans. It requires attention to infrastructure, drainage, pollution prevention, and the cumulative impact of development decisions.

Responsible growth is part of environmental protection

Growth and environmental stewardship should not be treated as opposites. Communities can create opportunity while still asking whether roads, drainage, wastewater systems, and safeguards are prepared for what is being approved.

Melton supports an infrastructure-first approach that considers the long-term consequences of growth. He believes residents should not be left with more flooding risk, strained public systems, or damage to the natural resources that make Manatee County special.

Preserving the Florida our children deserve

Melton is a father, longtime local resident, and community volunteer. His commitment to Manatee County is personal. He wants future generations to inherit clean water, healthy natural areas, and a community that planned with care.

In the Florida House, Melton Little will bring a practical local voice to decisions affecting water, infrastructure, and growth. Protecting Manatee County is not resistance to progress. It is how we make progress last.
